Well, everything is all done. The assignments, the work load and the semester. I have to say that this semester has been an enjoyable one in relation to doing this subject. Throughout the whole fourteen weeks doing this subject, it has been an amazing experience that I can use to carry with me into the future and maybe apply it sometime in my future learning.

After consistently blogging regularly, I have come to the conclusion that it has been a useful tool to keep up to date with my learning. I can always look back on all of the blogs I have done and see the consistency and flow of the learning journey. The three modules that were being used to assess the students on our learning have been a valuable program allowing us to use a variety of tools and programs to complete these. Tools that when I first started this course I had no idea how to use but now am very efficient in using them. I remember during the beginning of the semester, I had some doubt as to how this could help me in my education. The truth is that it did.

Overall, I am very pleased with myself and the course. I do recommend people to start using technology as I think it is the future. Maybe in a couple of years, paper would not be as common as a laptop. Only time will tell…

I like to thank the teacher for this semester…and the wine. LoL. I had fun. Whoo!!!

The past few weeks have been an amazing journey in regards to how E-learning can be used as an effective tool to see one’s progression and see their flow of learning. I find this not only important for University students to do, but also people working in the corporate world. I think that learning is inevitable and you can not stop learning. Therefore, writing about what you have learnt allows learners to remember information easily. It can also be used to see the consistency in one’s own learning and if they need to change anything with the way they are doing things.

I have given deep reflection to this useful tool in respects to the real world. One example was last year when I was helping out at my aunty’s accounting office for work experience. I did not receive any money for this, however I gained a wide range of experience and knowledge through this. The reason as to why I brought this up is that what I learnt last year at that period, I can not remember everything that I learnt and was taught.

 Therefore, I think if I used a tool such as this edublog, it will allow me to capture the important knowledge and grasp the key concepts at one place so if one day I do manage to forget something, I can go back here, read what I wrote and refresh my memory.

In the future, I think this will be a tool I will use more often so that I can retain the learning and knowledge in one place and develop my learning in the real world with the assistance of the virtual world.

Today in class, we did a group activity where by each student had to pick up a lolly from a bag. There were four different colours each representing a particular discussion topic. I chose the orange coloured lolly which meant that I was supposed to talk about a key e-learning tool that I thought was useful within the course of this semester. Personally, I found the Netvibes to be a very effective and useful tool to use as it allowed me to link up all my favourite web sites onto one place just like adding pages to a favourite section. I go through a variety of web sites and this place allows me to have everything altogether in one place. I don’t even need to know the web site any mre because it in one place so it makes everything that much easier to navigate.

We also disscussed about our next assignment in which we have complete an online course. At the moment, I am very hesitant because it seems that learning will be difficult due to no human interaction. I guess I will see what happens. I can’t judge something I have not tried. I’m thinking of either learning another language, something technical such as photoshop or maybe cooking. I like cooking. hehe…

As I am in class now, we are learning about e learning strategies and setting up goals in an e learning program. I found it very interesting because in order to have a successful organisation, you need to determine the different elements within your strategy in order to maximise the knowledge that can be gained for a competitive advantage. I am also doing some more research for my next coming assignment which my group has chosen “how blogging can be used as an effective tool for learning and disseminating information.”

Currently, I am gathering information so that I can find detailed analysis on how this is done and its effectiveness. I will also be using the additional information so i can write a short essay to accompany the assignment.

 I have currently found a bit of information and written a short essay in which in I will post later in my next edublog. It is good to see that I am learning the theoretical side (by researching) and the practical side (by applying what I have learnt and incorporating it into my edublog).

Everything so far seems to be on the right track.

Everythings has been set up for the commencement of this subject. I am really looking forward to it and can’t wait to learn new things. It does look a bit difficult but I during the next coming weeks, I will be guided in the right direction.

I am still playing around with the different accounts. Still not familiar with them except for the edublog, in which have had some prior experience to this. So now is the start of the learning journey and hope I can gain a greater knowledge that now.

I hope that in the next coming weeks, I have the knowledge so that I will be able to teach somebody about all these tools and the benefits they have from a personal and professional perspective. It starts now.

Today is the day. The beginning. The beginning of the creation of my edublog and the start of my learning journey through the use of various tools from technology. So what is an edublog? Well, I learnt that it is pretty much similar to an online journal where I can reflect on my experiences and my progressive learning. I personally find that it allows a range of interactions between other users and myself by sharing different ideas and resources with other learners so that it can enrich my online experience and broaden my knowledge.

As I am currently sit in class, we are having a class debate “whether E-learning experiences is the future or just a phase”. It was very interesting to see how the class brought up some very interesting comments and knowledge to the debate. Critical thinking was important in order to understand the different sides, and how they in the end, intertwine with each other. A fun debate which hopefully, we will have more of these soon so it allows us to open our minds and absorb all the various views of different people.
